Justice Action is lobbying commissioner of NSW Corrective Services to take action to alleviate COVID-19’s impact on NSW prisons
JA demands the release of inmates with medical conditions during the coronavirus pandemic to reduce their risk if a coronavirus outbreak occurs in prison.
Furthermore, JA demands inmates by provided with tablets to contact their families remotely, and online counselling services to help them through this difficult time, make particularly so due to the high vulnerability of prisons themselves, and the loss of face-to-face contact with family members.
