Ben Slade's expertise is in running complex litigation, including class or group actions, for the victims of corporate wrongdoing. He has extensive experience in advising:investors, businesses and consumers on corporations and trade practices issues;victims of cartels; andvictims of misleading or deceptive conduct.Ben was on the Council of the Law Society of NSW between 1992 and 1995 and he has been active for many years on legal and policy issues relating to access to justice, human rights and consumer protection. He is currently the Deputy Chair of Sydney's Public Interest Advocacy Centre. Before joining Maurice Blackburn, Ben was Manager, General Law, Legal Aid Commission of NSW prior to which he was Principal Solicitor, Redfern Legal Centre.
Sisters Inside Inc. is an independent community organisation, which exists to advocate for the human rights of women in the criminal justice system, and to address gaps in the services available to them. We work alongside women in prison in determining the best way to fulfil these roles.

Southern Community Welfare is a community based, non-profit, harm prevention organisation. Since it's inception in 1995, it has provided professional, innovative therapeutic services to families and individuals. Southern Community Welfare has a particular focus on serving the community in the areas of risk, resilience and early intervention. SCW provides programs that address the areas of suicide prevention, deliberate self-injury, eating disorders, depression, child abuse, loss and grief, family breakdown and parenting skills. We also run various support groups in the areas of support after suicide; divorce and separation recovery and Rock and Water boys social strengthening.
